Understanding the behaviours, needs and expectations of people using retail and public spaces is critical in designing spaces that optimise the user experience. Ergonomie adopts a user-centred design process to achieve project objectives when working on the design of public spaces and retail areas.

Integrating Human Factors throughout the design process can result in an overall increase in user comfort, design usability and design accessibility.

Our experience

Early integration of Human Factors is vital, starting with feasibility, solution optioneering and design conceptualising.

Ergonomie has worked with industrial design teams and engineering firms to create retail and public spaces that meet the needs and expectations of end-users. Our consultants have integrated HF principles and requirements into the design of financial institutions such as flagship stores and banking branches.

We have a demonstrated ability to undertake contextual enquiries, usability assessments and experimental designs to support the design and engineering of products, equipment and retail areas.

We have assisted organisations in achieving their design goals by implementing a user-centred design approach that blends science and creativity to achieve functional, efficient and elegant designs.

By properly understanding the needs and expectations of people that use them, retail and public spaces can be designed to support safe and efficient interactions.
